    1 cup brown rice, uncooked
    2 cups water
    8 oz block sharp cheddar, cubed
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 cans chunk light tuna in water, drained
    1/2 cup french fried onions


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook the rice in the water according to package directions, to yield 3 cups cooked rice.

Combine all ingredients except french fried onions in a mixing bowl; pat into a casserole dish. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes; spread french fried onions on top and bake for 5 more minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Serves 4.
