    2 stalks celery, finely chopped
    1 brown onion, finely chopped
    1 tbsp olive oil
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    broken spaghetti - enough to make 1 cup cooked
    1 red chilli
    2 cups chicken / vegetable stock
    2 cups water
    0.75 cup fava (broad) beans
    1 cup frozen peas
    1 bunch asparagus spears, cut in 3cm lengths
    1 cup green beans cut in 3cm lengths
    small handful mint leaves, chopped
    small handful parsley, chopped
    2 tbsp basil pesto


Fry onion and celery in olive oil, add garlic and chilli and stir till fragrant. Add stock and water and bring to boil. Add spaghetti and simme for 8. Add beans, peas and asparagus and cook for 2 minutes or until pasta and vegetables are tender. Stir in mint and parsley. Add pesto to bowls on serving. Can garnish with Parmesan cheese.
