Ingredients

    1 C butter
    3 3/4C powdered sugar
    2 whole eggs + 3 whites
    2 t. fresh lemon juice
    2 t. pure vanilla extract
    3/4C 1% milk
    3 C cake flour
    1 t baking powder


Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan. Sift together flour and baking powder; set aside.

In large mixer bowl cream butter w/powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and egg whites, one at a time, then stir in lemon juice and vanilla extract. Beat in the flour alternately with the milk.

Pour batter in to prepared pan. Bake 75 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan 15 minutes and then invert on to serving plate.

Serve with berries and whip cream, aditional powdered sugar or plain.
