Number of Servings: 6


    4 medium apples julienned or riced
    1 tbsp light margarine
    1/4 cup splenda brown sugar blend
    2 tbsp cinnamon
    1 tsp allspice
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tbsp vanilla extract
    6 oz. puff pastry (ready to bake)


Peel and Julienne the apples while melting butter in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the apples and spices and stew until apples are softened, stirring occasionally.

Cut puff pastry into serving size rectangles and bake until golden and raised.

Serve on a saucer or shallow bowl with 1 ladle of apples topped by a puff pastry slice. Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on the top and serve.

Serves 6, but the mixture stores well in the fridge for several days.
