Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    -2 400g tins chopped tomatoes
    -1 medium sized onion, chopped
    -1 tbsp olive oil
-2 garlic cloves, chopped or crushed
    -1 tbsp dried basil
    -1 tbsp dried oregano
    -1 tbsp black pepper
    - 3 dried bay leaves
    -500g lean steak mince
    -2 tbsp tomato puree

Directions

-Fry the onion and garlic in the olive oil in a pan, until softened
- Add the mince and fry until browned
- Next stir in the tomato puree, basil and oregano
- Add the chopped tomatoes and pepper and bring to the boil
- Once simmering, turn the pan to a low heat, add the bay leaves, put a lid on the pan and leave to simmer for 35-40 mins
-If the sauce still looks runny at this stage, turn the pan on a high heat, stirring continually for 6 minutes to reduce. Do not leave it because the sauce will burn and stick to the pan.
- Remove the bay leaves and serve over some pasta!
