    1/2 package (about 2 cups) Ore-Ida frozen hash browns
    1 medium onion, raw, sliced
    2 T dried parsley
    2 T pepper (or more as desired)
    2 T garlic powder (or more as desired)
    Approximately 6 T olive oil
    Pam spray (for the grill)


Place frozen hash browns in a microwave safe bowl and defrost until still firm but no longer frozen solid.

While potatoes are defrosting, slice onion.

Place onion in large bowl with defrosted hash browns. Season with parsley, pepper, and garlic powder. Drizzle generously (at least 6 T) with olive oil until all potatoes are coated. Stir well, being careful not to crush the hash browns.

Use Pam spray (high heat for grill) and generously spray inside of long (at least 18 inches) piece of heavy duty aluminum foil.

Place hash brown mixture on sprayed aluminum foil and fold into an air-tight packet.

Cook on preheated gas grill, on approximately a medium to medium-high heat, for 20 minutes.
