    1.5 lbs Beef round steak, sliced thin
    1 medium bell pepper, sliced thin
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    14 oz Vegetable broth
    1 envelope dry italian salad dressing mix


Spray crock pot with cooking spray
Place everything in slow cooker
Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours, or high 3-4 hours
(optional, not added into calorie count):
Spoon meat mixture onto bread
top with fat free or reduced fat cheese

    I was a little worried to try this, but my daughter convinced me to give it a go. I'm really glad! So yummy! We made the recipe as is, but next time I'll add the peppers and onions closer to serving time so they retain some form and crunch. We topped with provolone cheese. definitely a keeper! - 6/24/10
