    1 ½ lb ground turkey, 93% lean
    1 ¼ lb. Lean ground beef
    1 egg, fresh
    1 pkg. Dry onion soup mix
    1 cup cooked instant brown rice, cooled
    ½ tsp. Salt
    ¼ tsp. Pepper
    ½ tsp. Garlic powder
    32 Fresh cabbage leaves

    2 cups broth (from cooked cabbage leaves
    1 bullion cube
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tb light butter / canola oil blend (60 /40%)
    2 Tsp. Dried mint leaves, crumbled.
    2 Tbs. Lemon juice
    2 Tbs. flour


Preheat oven to 350. Cook the cabbage leaves for about 5 minutes. Drain and cool. Save the broth and add a chicken bullion cube to it.
Mix the meats, egg, rice, onion soup mix and spices together thoroughly. Shape into 32 balls. Roll each meatball in a cabbage leaf and fasten with a toothpick. Put cabbage rolls in a 9 x 13” pan. Pour some of the broth over the leaves to cover. Bake in oven for about 30 minutes.
Make Sauce: Melt the butter in a saucepan. Mix flour and 2 cups of the reserved cabbage broth in a blender Add to butter, mixing constantly. Add lemon juice, salt and mint and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Spoon over drained cabbage rolls and serve. Makes 8-10 servings, depending on portions.
