Number of Servings: 6

    6 green peppers
    1 pound ground beef
    1/3 c. onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    Dash pepper
    1 pound canned tomatoes
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. rice
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. brown sugar
    4 oz. shredded cheese (optional)

Preheat oven to 350. Cut tops off the peppers and clean out the insides. Place them in boiling water to soften. Brown together the ground beef and onions. Add the remaining ingredients. Simmer until the rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in cheese. Stand peppers upright in a baking dish and stuff them with rice mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Variations-Can add chili powder or garlic for more flavor. If you would like you can wait until the last 5 minutes of baking time and put the cheese on top so it gets melted on top instead of mixed throughout.

Number of Servings: 6
