Introduction
This is a dish common around at least North Africa. I encountered it in Libya.Makes 9"x13" pan about 12 pieces.
Plain Bechemel Sauce
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
2 to 3 c milk warmed
melt butter add flour, whisk for about a minute, whisk in milk. Warm on med heat until it begins to thicken. Remove from heat. This is a dish common around at least North Africa. I encountered it in Libya.
Makes 9"x13" pan about 12 pieces.

Ingredients

Ground beef, extra lean, 16 oz
Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
Spaghetti noodles, 16 oz
Ground Coriander, .5 tsp
Turmeric, ground, .5 tsp
Coriander leaf, dried, 3 tbsp
Parsley, 2 tbsp
Flour, whole grain, .5 cup
Butter, unsalted, 3 tbsp
Milk, nonfat, 2 cup
Parmesan Cheese, grated, .5 cup
Directions
cook spaghetti per package directions. While spaghetti is cooking dry saute dice onion or saute in a little water add ground beef. Break up beef as it cooks. When beef is cooked add salt & pepper to taste, coriander, turmeric, then set aside.
When I have drained the spaghetti I use the same pot to make a Bechemel sauce. Add salt & pepper to taste, parsley & coriander leaf. Add spaghetti to sauce.
Layer about 1/2 spaghetti mix in bottom of pan, layer ground beef, add rest of spaghetti mix, top with Parmesan.
Bake covered in 350F oven for about 30min or until center feels firm.
