Ingredients


    Dry Ingredients:
    Salt, 1 dash
    Sunflower Seeds, without salt, 1 cup, hulled
    Cinnamon, ground, .5 tbsp
    Sesame Seeds, .33 cup
    Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal- Plain, 5 cup
    Wheat germ, crude, .25 cup
    Flaxseed, 0.25 cup

    Liquid Ingredients:
    Honey, .15 cup
    Vanilla Extract, .5 tsp
    Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    Applesauce, sweetened, .5 cup

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Combine liquid ingredients in a separate bowl. Mix both bowls thoroughly. Add liquid mixture to dry mixture. Stir, coating dry ingredients evenly with liquid mixture. Pour mixture into large greased cake pan and cook for 30-40 mins stirring every 10 mins. Granola will crisp as it cools. Serve plain, mixed with dried fruit, with milk or yogurt or in other creative ways. Makes about 10 cups.

    Very Good
    Very good. Easy to make too. Just add craisins or dried berries for a chewy sweetness, but it will up the calories too. - 7/20/10
