    1 kilo raw pumpkin
    1 large onion chopped
    1 teaspoon black pepper
    4 cups chicken stock
    1 tablespoon butter


Add all ingredients into a large pot bring to the boil and simmer until pumpkin cooked through.
Cool slightly and put through blender to make smooth and creamy.
Potato, or any other vegetable of your choice can be added .
Serve with a small dollop of sour cream or plain with crusty bread
