Ingredients

    4 Granny Smith apples, halved and then sliced thin
    2 c. wheat pasty flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tbsp Splenda plus 1/2 c. Splenda
    12 tbsp diced cold unsalted butter plus 1/2 stick butter, diced
    1/2 c. ice water

    For Glaze:
    1/2 c. sugar free apricot jam
    2 tbsp. apple liqueur

Directions

Add flour, salt, 1 Tbsp splenda, 12 tbsp diced butter to food processor. Pulse until pea size clumps form. Add water and pulse until dough forms. Knead quickly and refrigerate one hour. Roll out dough to 10 x 14 in. and cut to exact measurements. Place on sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Fan apples diagonally across pastry. Sprinkle 1/2 c. Splenda across apples. Distribute 1/2 stick diced butter on top. Place in 450 F oven for 45 min.

For Glaze:
Place jelly in pan with 2 tbsp apple liqueur and heat until smooth. Strain through sieve and brush on tart once out of oven.

Serves about 12.
