Ingredients

    1 oval wholewheat pita
    1/2 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
    1/4 cup sweet red pepper, sliced
    1/2 Jalapeno pepper, sliced
    1/4 cup chickpeas, cooked
    3 tbsp salsa

Directions

1. Cook chickpeas according to instructions
2. Toast pita and slit on one side

    I thought this was a great lunch. Easy to make and very filling. I love chick peas and will make again! I put on toast instead of pita. - 4/14/08
