    Betty Crocker Butter Mashed Potatoes, 2 pkg dry mix
    Chicken Thigh, 7 thigh, bone and skin removed
    Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced
    Carrots, raw, 2 cup, chopped
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    9 cups water
    parsley flakes
    black pepper
    1/4 cup medium pearled barley


Add water and dry potato flakes to a large crock pot. Add black pepper and parsley flakes to taste. Cut up chicken and vegetables into bite size pieces. Add to the liquid mixture. Cook in crock pot according to your schedule. Add barley and cook additional hour.
