Introduction

This is a Japanese dessert that is (wrongly) attributed to America. If you like coffee, iced coffee, or jell-o you will do well to try this! This is a Japanese dessert that is (wrongly) attributed to America. If you like coffee, iced coffee, or jell-o you will do well to try this!

Ingredients

    1 envelope gelatin
1 mug strong coffee (8 oz)
    1 cup hot water
    dash of salt
    lump of sugar

Directions

Bloom the gelatin in hot water for 1-2 minutes (while making the coffee). Let it sit, then stir until dissolved (this might take a little longer if you lump the gelatin in. Try to sprinkle it into the water.)
Add the coffee, sugar and salt.

Leave in refridgerator to set for two hours.

You can cut this up and put it in your iced coffee, or you can have a little bit (two spoonfuls) with a dollop of whipped cream for a dessert! The coffee brings a nice jolt and it is delicious! Keep serving size small.
