    12 oz frozen or fresh tortellini
    2 lbs fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    8 oz tomato sauce
    4 C chicken broth
    1 Tbs olive oil
    1 large onion, minced
    3 cloves garlic
    2 Tbs fresh sage or basil
    Salt and pepper to taste
    6 Tbs grated parm cheese


In a large sauce pan, saute onion and garlic in the olive oil. Add tomatoes, broth, tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, add tortellini and cook until just done, 2-4 minutes. Add chopped basil or sage and serve with grated parmesan cheese. Serves 6.
