    2/3 cup water
    1 tbsp sugar
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
    2 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
    1 tsp cracked black pepper
    1 tsp salt
    2/3 cup rye flour
    1 1/3 cup bread flour
    1.5 tsp bread machine yeast

    1 egg white + 2 tsp water


Put dough ingredients in breadmachine in order suggested by manufacturer. Set for dough, whole wheat setting and start.

Grease two or three baking sheets.

When dough is ready, remove from breadmachine and punch down. Cut into 16-21 pieces, then roll each piece between palms to form thin rope ~6 to 8 inches long. Place 1" apart on baking sheets. Cover loosely and put in warm place to rise for 20-25 minutes.

Beat egg white and water together with fork. Brush over breadsticks. Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven until golden brown, 20-25 minutes

Makes 16-21 breadsticks.
