Number of Servings: 12

    Beans, black, 1.5 cup
Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, .5 cup
    espresso powder, 1 tbsp
Egg substitute, liquid (Egg Beaters), .75 cup
*Hershey's Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup, 2 tbsp
*Breakstone Reduced Fat Sour Cream, 2 tbsp
Land O Lakes, Unsalted Butter, melted 1 Tbsp, 1 serving
*Splenda No Calorie Sweetener, 8 tbsp
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8x8-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
2. Combine the beans, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and egg substitute in the bowl of a food processor. Process until the mixture is smooth, about 2 minutes, scraping down the bowl halfway through.
3. Add the chocolate syrup, sour cream, butter, Truvia, and vanilla. Process until all of the ingredients are combined, about 1 minute.
4. PouR the batter into the prepared baking dish, and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 28 to 30 minutes, turning the dish halfway through the baking time. A toothpick inserted in the center will come out with soft batter clinging to it.
5. Let the brownies cool completely in the baking dish on a wire rack. Then cut into 12 squares and serve. Refrigerate any leftovers.

  • interesting combo here, would remind everyone to completely rinse the beans and let them drain a bit. And don't tell folks about the beans til after they've enjoyed them. - 9/8/10

I agree. They didn't tell Dr.T what was in them until after he ate them.He loved them and was shocked to find out what was in them.Brownies are his weakness and they were saying that this is a better version.
