Just plain old garlic and broccoli. Great to have on hand for an addition to any savory meal! Just plain old garlic and broccoli. Great to have on hand for an addition to any savory meal!

    2 1/2c Fresh Broccoli
    3 cloves Garlic
    2T oilve oil (may use less depending on the pan)
    1/4 c water
    1/2 tsp Garlic Salt (may use garlic powder if watching sodium)


Toss broccoli, chopped garlic cloves, and olive oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Once pan gets hot and garlic starts to sizzle, pour water into pan, reduce heat to medium, and cover. Let the broccoli and garlic steam for about 3-4 minutes or until desired tenderness. Add garlic salt or powder and incorporate to broccoli before storing.

If you are planning to add the broccoli to a dish that calls for some sort of salt, feel free to hold off on the garlic salt and just add garlic powder. Also, for even stronger garlic flavor, use a microplane to shred the garlic before adding it to the pan. The tinier the pieces, the stronger the flavor! Enjoy!
