Introduction

This came out of an old cookbook that is no longer in print. My mom used to make it for us on cold days when I was a kid. It's still a family favorite. Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 quart skim milk
    3 rounded T. uncooked brown rice
    3 rounded T. honey
    1/8 t. salt
    1/2 c. raisins
    dash nutmeg or cinnamon

Directions

Put milk in 2 quart glass casserole dish. Stir in all other ingredients.

Bake in 300 degree oven for 20 minutes. Stir well (by this time the honey should be dissolved). Bake 3 more hours, stirring after every hour.

Stir before serving. Great warm or cold.

Makes 8 servings.
