Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    8 medium apples, peeled, cored, sliced
    1/4 cup Splenda Sugar Blend
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 cup water
    dash of Saigon Cinnamon
    dash of nutmeg
    dash of cloves
    2 Tbsp. brandy or apple brandy

Directions

Put sliced apples, butter, water, Splenda and spices in large, heavy-bottom saucepan and heat on medium low heat, covered, for 30 minutes. Push apple pieces down with spoon occasionally to break them into pieces and stir frequently. Uncover and cook an additional 30 minutes, continuing to break up apples pieces with spoon. Texture will start to resemble applesauce as it cooks. Stir frequently. Remove from heat and cool completely before adding brandy (optional). Serves 8.
