    1/4 c. margerine
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    3 c. chicken broth
    1 c milk, 2%
    8 oz. Velveeta processed cheese food, cubed
    10 can Ro*Tel tomatoes and chilies, blended
    2 c. cooked, chreded chicken
    1 tsp. cumin
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    Flour tortillas -- as needed (4 to 6)
    Shredded Colby Jack or Mexican Blend Cheese -- as needed


In a pot, melt margarine over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook stirring often for 3 minutes

Slowly whisk in small amounts of chicken broth at a time, then whisk in milk.

Reduce heat to low and stir in Velveeta cubes; stir until melted.

Stir in blended Ro*Tel and spices.

Thicken soup to desired consistency with cornstarch and water, add chicken.

Cut tortillas into strips and deep-fry until golden brown.

Sprinkle with cheese (not figured in nutritional facts) if desired and top with tortillas strips.
