Number of Servings: 6


    1 1/2 pints blueberries (or 3-4 apples or pears)
    1/2 cup water
    1 1/2 cup quick oatmeal
    1/2 cup wheat germ
    1 cup (maybe a little more) 100% fruit juice
    1/4 cup chopped walnuts (or nut of choice) (optional)


Rinse blueberries (or peel and slice apples or pears) and put into saucepan with aobut 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil until fruit starts to soften and there is some natural juice.
While cooking fruit, mix oatmeal, wheat germ and nuts with fruit juice and let set.
When fruit is cooked, transfer the fruit along with any juice it may have created to baking dish (round 1 1/2 qt or 11" x 9")
Stir oatmeal mixture and add more juice it if has become too dry (should be a bit juicy).
Drop by spoonfuls over fruit.
Batke at 325 degress for 15-20 minutes or until it starts to set.
Remove and let set for 5 minutes.
Serve warm.
