Introduction
This recipe was originally Mark Kay Ash's personal recipe that I tweeked slightly. Bake them just right and they will come out slightly crunchy yet chewy fully cooked. Ingredients

1 Cup Butter Flavor Crisco
1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
1 Cup Sugar Granulated Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
4 Tablespoons of Cinnamon
1 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
3 Cups Quick Oats
Directions
Thoroughly cream Crisco and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, salt. Add to creamed mixture. Beat well. Stir in oats and mix. Form dough in roll 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter; wrap in waxed paper. Chill for about an hour. With sharp knife, slice cookies about 1/2" thick. Baked on ungreased cookie sheet 8-10 minutes (depending on your altitude and oven) at 350 degrees. Yields 5 dozen
