Introduction
Yum. Chewy, chocolaty, oatmeal.... goodness. Yum. Chewy, chocolaty, oatmeal.... goodness.Number of Servings: 41
Ingredients
-
2 cups quick cooking oats
3/4 plus 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine (not light)
1/4 cup skim milk
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Mix dry ingredients.
Cream wet ingredients in mixer until light and fluffy.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just mixed and then gently fold in chocolate chips.
Shape into teaspoon sized balls on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Flatten with a spoon.
Bake for 13-14 mins at 325.
Let stand for 1-2 mins then remove from baking sheet and let cool on a rack.
DO NOT OVER BAKE!!!! THEY WON'T BE CHEWY IF YOU OVERBAKE.
Makes about 41 cookies.
