Introduction
A family recipe (from my mother in law) for a unique twist on traditional meatballs. These are baked in a wonderful tomato based sweet & sour sauce and is delicious over rice! (Makes LOTS of sauce!) Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground turkey
2 eggs (or egg substitute equivalent)
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste
Sauce:
2 8-oz can tomato sauce
2 8-oz can water
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
2/3 cup Splenda
1/2-1 tsp chili powder or paprika
1 cup ketchup
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the first 6 ingredients and form into large meatballs (about 12). Place in a 9x13 baking pan.
Combine the sauce ingredients in a large pot. Heat over medium heat on the stove until well combined and heated through.
Pour sauce over meatballs, coat well.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
Makes 12 large meatballs.
