    *1 can safeway organic black beans *rinsed, 37 oz (remove)
    *Ians Panko Breadcrumbs, .5 cup (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 2 large (remove)
    Scallions, raw, 4 medium (4-1/8" long) (remove)
    Cilantro, dried, 1 tbsp (remove)
    *Garlic, prepared chopped garlic (Canada Garlic Inc), 1 tbsp (remove)
    *1/2 tsp. Cumin Powder, 3 serving (remove)
    Oregano, ground, 1.5 tsp (remove)
    Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tsp (remove)
    Salt, 1 tsp (remove)
    Pepper, black, .5 tsp (remove)


Place 2 c. beans in bowl of food procesor and pulse until chunky. Transfer to large bowl. Add remaining beans, panko, eggs, scallions fresh herbs, garlic, cumin, oregano and red pepper flakes and mix until well combined. Using a dough cutter, portion mixtures into 4 to 6 patties about 1 inch thick. Suggest 1" diameter. Place patties on tray and chill for 15 minutes so they can set up. When ready to cook, remove patties from refrigerator and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place a cast-iron skillet over high heat without any fat; when it is hot but not smoking add burgers to dry pan. Cook for 4 minutes on the first side or until well seared and turn onto second side allow to cook for 5 additional minutes. Serve immediately. Can top with jack, cheddar or queso fresco lettuce, tomato slice or salsa. Sour cream or avocado. Good on a soft bun
