    4 large eggs (room temperature)
    2 cups whole milk (room temperature)
    9 oz (2 cups) AP flour
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 cup lard melted (or shortening or meat drippings ) separated


1-Preheat oven to 400 and place rack in middle
2-Blend the eggs, milk, flour, salt and 2 tbs of the melted fat in blender for 30 seconds.
3- pour remaining fat into 10-in cast iron skillet or heavy dish.
4- Bake in oven for 35-45 minutes until golden brown
DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN! it will release the steam and mess up the bread.
5-Cut (or tear) into 12 pieces
