Great meatless meatballs recipe -- tastes almost like the real thing! Great meatless meatballs recipe -- tastes almost like the real thing!
Number of Servings: 12


    2 packages of Smart Ground soy protein
    1 cup matzah meal
    3 cloves garlic
    2 medium onions
    4 large eggs
    1/4 cup oil
    1/4 cup water
    3 tbsp paprika
    4 cups tomato sauce
    salt, pepper to taste


1. Beat eggs. Add water, oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
2. Add defrosted ground protein and matzo meal Stir thoroughly until whole mixture is wet.
3. Chop cloves of garlic into tiny pieces. Mix into batter.
4. Refrigerate mixture for 30-60 minutes.
5. Bring a medium-sized pot of water to a boil.
6. Roll balls of batter about 1" in diameter, and drop in the pot one by one.
7. Preheat oven to 350 F.
8. As balls begin to float, remove them from the water with a slotted spoon; place in a glass or aluminum pan.
9. Cover meatballs with tomato sauce and onions. Stick in oven for 45 minutes.
10. Remove from oven. Enjoy!
