Ingredients

    Crust:

    4 c flour
    1 3/4 cup crisco shortening
    1 tbsp sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 cup water
    1 tbsp white vinegar
    1 egg

    Filling:

    Peel, core & slice thinly 10 granny smith apples
    1 1/2 cup sugar
    1 cup water
    cinnamon
    butter

Directions

Crust:

Mix first 4 ingredients in kitchenaid mixer until crumbly. Add last 3 to bowl until forms a ball. Divide into 6 small balls and refrigerate.

Filling:

In large saute pan, add water & sugar over low flame until melts to syrup. Add sliced apples & cinnamon & cook until soft.

Roll out dough into small squares and fill with small bit of filling. Dot with butter & sprinkle with cinnamon. Gather dough together to make like a little purse. Bake on 375 until golden brown. Makes approx. 36
