Introduction

This recipe is already on here, but I re-entered the info because some of the nutritional values can vary by brand. Usually, I don't share if I am re -ntering info, but something about the way I made it had a lot less fat than the original. So, I decided to share!

I have to credit CHELLE3171 for the recipe!

Ingredients

1 lb lean Honey Suckle White ground turkey
1 small head of cabbage, chopped
1 cup Best Choice instant brown rice
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 cup water
1 can Best Choice crushed tomatoes
    1 can Campbell's tomato soup
    garlic salt/powder to taste
    paprika to taste
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Chop one small onion and bell pepper. Place them in a pan and cook until both are tender. While the onion and bell pepper are cooking, cook your rice in a separate pan. Once the turkey is done add the water, soup, tomatoes, rice, chopped cabbage, garlic salt/powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 20 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.

Makes 8 one cup servings.

If you are wondering what else is on the plate:
I cooked a wedge of cabbage and a sweet potato for healthy sides. I cooked both the same way. I used a small pad of butter - not even a serving size - a little salt and a little pepper, rolled them in aluminum foil and placed them in the oven at 450*F right before I put the turkey in the pan. I took them out when the dish was complete!
