Simple, Quick, Delicious Chili with Beans that I made for the children I babysat for. Simple, Quick, Delicious Chili with Beans that I made for the children I babysat for.
Number of Servings: 12

16 Oz. Extra Lean Ground Beef
    1 Med Onion, chopped
    1 Clove Garlic
    2 15 Oz Canned Tomatoes
    1 15 Oz Tomato Sauce
2 15 Oz Canned Black Beans
2 15 Oz Canned Pinto Beans
1 Sm Can Chopped Green Chilis
    Spices to taste:
    Black Pepper
    Chile Powder
    Cayenne Pepper

Makes 12 1-Cup Servings

Brown Ground Beef in a large pot with chopped onion and garlic. Drain and/or rinse off grease.

Add spices, a little or a lot, depending on tastes and dietary needs. Sometimes, a (very) little cinnamon gives it an interesting flavor, if I'm in a Christmas mood.

Open cans and add to beef mixture. Simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes.

Serve with cornbread (Jiffy mix is the best if you can find it.) or tortilla chips. Add some cheddar or colby cheese on top if desired.

Number of Servings: 12
