Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    16 oz pkg dry split peas
    1 cup baby carrots, coarsely chopped
    1 medium white onion, coarsely chopped
    3 whole bay leaves, or 1 tsp. crumbled
    10 oz turkey ham, cubed
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
    7 cups water

Directions

Rinse peas before cooking.
Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and cook overnight on low, or during the day while your at work.
Seven cups of water will make a pretty thick soup.
Eight cups makes a thinner soup.

    Excellent Soup! I cooked it on the stove top according to the split peas directions. It was very simple to make. Calories are low enough, that I could enjoy 2cups for my lunch. Plus look at all the veggies per serving. If you love Split Pea Soup, this is definitely a keeper! - 4/30/08
