Introduction

My version of a healthy simple turkey chili. My version of a healthy simple turkey chili.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    3/4 lb 93% lean ground turkey
    1 15oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
    1 14oz diced tomatoes
    1 tbsp chili powder
    2 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp dried oregano
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 cup whole wheat elbow macaroni

Directions

Saute onion in pot. Add ground turkey and brown. Once browned, add seasonings. Cook 5 minutes. Then add black beans and tomato, and cook another 5 minutes.

In a different pot at the same time, cook whole wheat elbow macaroni al dente. Once done, add to finished turkey chili and combine/stir.

Should be around 6 3/4-cup to 1-cup servings.
