    1.5kg self raising flour
    330g all bran flakes
    2 cups sugar
    2 tsp salt
    500g butter
    4 eggs
    500ml buttermilk


Preheat oven to 180 degrees C

1. Mix flour, all bran, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl.
2. Melt margarine and add buttermilk whilst its still warm.
3. Immediately break the eggs into the buttermilk mixture and mix until the eggs are just mixed in.
4. Add buttermilk mixture to dry ingredients and mix well.
5. Press mixture into baking sheets that are lined with baking paper.
6. Bake for 35 mins. Allow to cool, cut into even portions (approx 82).
7. Lay out portions on baking sheets and dry out in a cool oven for 4 to 5 hours.
