    3 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/4 cups sugar
    2 cups buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    7 1/2 cups flour


add additional flour to roll and handle well. Roll out to about 1/4" inch thick and cut with donut cutter. Deep fry in hot lard or shortening. (about 3 minutes per side).
