    1# 90% lean ground beef
    1 15 oz. can of tomato sauce
    2 cups mozzarella cheese
    1/4 C. grated parmesan cheese
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 onion, chopped
    1 tbsp. minced garlic
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 C. coked rice
    2 bacon strips, cooked & crumbled
    1/2 head of cabbage, shredded


Cook ground beef in a large skilet with onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in cooked rice and cooked bacon. then, remove from heat. Layer 1/2 of the cabbage in a casserole. Top with meat and rice mixture and cover with remaining cabbage. Pour sauce over top . Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle cheese on top and cook another 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Makes 7 - 2 cup servings
