Number of Servings: 6


    2.5 cups dried peas
    1 onion, chopped
    1lb bag of peeled baby carrots, chopped
    0.5 t garlic, chopped
    10cups water
    7 bullion cubes
    2T canola oil
    2-3 slices ham cut thick and cubed
    1 lb kielbasa, sliced


Boil water and bullion; when bullion is dissolved, add peas and set the stove to simmer or low. In another pan, sauté onions with oil and then add to soup. In one hour add the garlic and carrots. Stir every ˝ hour. In another hour, add the ham or kielbasa. When the peas are dissolved, the soup is done.

A slow cooker can also be used, but it takes more time.
