Number of Servings: 40


    1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    3 cups sugar
    6 large eggs
    2 cups all purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup heavy cream
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract (lemon or almond can be used)


Mix sugar and butter until fluffy
Add eggs one at a time
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt
Alternately add flour and heavy cream.
Start and end with flour
Mix in vanilla (lemon or almond)

Generously grease and flour 2 loaf pans
Divide batter evenly between the two pans
Place in COLD oven.
Turn oven on to 325 degrees
Set timer for 1 hour 15 minutes
Do NOT open oven until time is up
Additional 15 minutes may be needed.

Makes approx. 40 servings

Can also use a 10-inch bundt pan
