An easy meal for a busy day. An easy meal for a busy day.

    Put 2 1bs of ground turkey, one chopped onion, 1/2 chopped green pepper, 2 tsp of minced garlic, a handful of hot dry chili peppers, 8 cups of small red dry beans, 16 cups of water, 3 small cans of tomato sauce, salt, pepper, cumin and chili pepper to taste in a large crock pot. Stir ingredients. Cook on high for four hours. Or cook on low for up to 8 hours.

    The house will smell great when you get back home.

    Serve over rice or noodles or plain from the bowl.

    Can add a hand full of fresh steamed vegetables like broccoli and baby carrots for extra fiber.

    Hot crusty baked bread with margarine on the side makes it a meal.


Cook all in slow cooker. Makes about 15 servings. Freeze some for later.
