Ingredients

    1 cup chopped onion
    2 cloves minced or pressed garlic
    4 cups vegetable broth
    4small potatoes, peeled and chopped
    6 cups (3 lg. stalks) broccoli, chopped with stems
    3 TB olive oil
    1 TB ground nutmeg
    1 TSP white pepper

Directions

sautee onions and garlic in oil. add broth and chopped, peeled potatoes. Simmer for5-6 minutes. Add chopped broccoli,with stems. cover and simmer until soft - add pepper/nutmeg. Use a stick blender to puree. makes 10 or so 1 cup servings.
