    * White Rice, long grain, .5 cup
    * Water, 1.25 cup (separated)
    * Jaggery, .5 cup,
    * Coconut, raw, .125 cup, shredded
    * Ghee, unsalted, 1 tbsp
    * Cashew Nuts, dry roasted, 1 tbsp
    * Cardamom, ground, .5 tsp


Toast the rice in a dry skillet till golden brown. Cool and powder. Add 1 cup of the water and cook till rice is done.

Fry the cashews in the ghee. Set aside.
Melt jaggery with the remainder .25 cup water. Mix the melted, jaggery, cashews, ghee, coconut and cardamom with the cooked rice and stir over medium heat till all the water is absorbed.
