Number of Servings: 12


    7 cups peeled, diced potatoes
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 cups diced cooked ham
    6 1/2 cups water
    4 tablespoons sodium free beef or chicken bouillon granules
    1 tsp black or white pepper, ground
    8 tbs butter
    2/3 cup all-purpose flour
    4 cups milk


Combine potato, celery, onion, ham, water in crockpot. Cook on low for 6-8 hrs. Stir in bouillon, salt, pepper.

In saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour and cook, stirring constantly until thick, about 1 minute. Slowly stir in milk while whisking to avoid lumps, stir until thick. Add to soup, mix thoroughly, serve.
