Ingredients

    2 green apples, chopped
    1/2 c. frozen, unsweetened blueberries
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    1 tsp agave nectar
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp each nutmeg & cloves
    8 dry roasted almonds, food processed into crumbs
    1/8 cup rolled oats
    1 tbsp butter

Directions

preheat oven to 375 degrees.

spray a small baking dish (i used 2 muffin spaces from a muffin tin) with cooking spray and set aside.

combine apples, blueberries, lemon juice and agave nectar in a small mixing bowl. add 1/2 tsp of the cinnamon and 1/4 tsp each of the nutmeg & cloves. mix and poor into baking dish.

combine oats, almonds and butter, softened, with the remaining cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. mix with hands. put on top of apple mixture. bake for 40-50 minutes, until apples soft and topping golden brown. serve warm as is, or with plain/vanilla greek yogurt for some extra goodness!

recipe serves 2, but can be easily doubled, tripled, or whatever... can be prepared as a crustless pie (in 9" pie pan) once tripled.

    Tasty, colorful, and not too sweet! I used ramekins, so it seemed like a special dessert. - 11/19/13
