    1 lb. extra-lean ground turkey
    1/2 cup unseasoned bread crumbs
    1/2 cup skim milk
    1 egg white
    1/4 cup finely chopped onion
    1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    3/4 cup beef broth
    1 Tbs cornstarch
    1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves

1. In medium bowl, combine all pattie ingredients; mix gently. (Mixture will be moist.) Shape into 6 oval patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
2. Heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Spray with nonstick cooking spray and add patties; cook 3 minutes on each side or until browned. Remove patties from skillet; drain, if necessary.
3. In small bowl, combine broth, wine, cornstarch and thyme; blend well. Pour into same skillet. Cook over med-low heat until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Stir in mushrooms. Return patties to skillet. Cover; simmer about 15 minutes or until patties are no longer pink in center. Yeild: 6 servings.

  • My Family loved turned out soo moist. It was my first attempt at Salsbury steak & it turned out great. I didn't have beef broth on hand so I just used a dry "au Jus" packet mix with corn starch to thicken. WONDERFUL....thank you! - 1/12/11

  • Thanks for that. I just realized today that I hadn't put in the 6 servings nor had I added that there should be 1/4 cup of dry red wine in between where Beef Broth and Cornstarch are listed. I fixed it but it doesn't look like it has been updated yet. I'll have to try it with the turkey! - 9/15/08
