Introduction

There's nothing like homemade soup on a cold day! There's nothing like homemade soup on a cold day!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 pound split peas
    1/2 pound bacon, cooked and chopped
    4 cups 99% FF Chicken Broth
    4 cups water
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 cup carrots, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 bay leaves

Directions

Fry the bacon, drain the grease and chop. Put all ingredients into a crockpot. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. Remove the bay leaves and serve.

Makes 8 servings of 1 cup each.
