Introduction

Taken from November 2010 Cosmopolitan. The original recipe calls for shrimp, but my father is allergic so I adapted it with beef to account for his needs. Taken from November 2010 Cosmopolitan. Ingredients

    1 tbsp. canola oil
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 tbsp. minced ginger
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
    1 cup snow peas
4 scallions, white and green parts, thinly sliced
1 pound beef cubes (may want to cook prior to starting the instructions)
    3 tbsp. soy sauce
    2 tsp. toasted sesame oil

Directions

Heat the canola oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, stirring constantly for about a minute. Add the red bell pepper, snow peas, and scallions, and stir-fry about 2 to 3 minutes, until the veggies are tender. Add the beef cubes, and cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until they are cooked through. Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Pair with steamed rice.

If you want it spicy, pick up a bottle of Sriracha sauce to serve with the stir fry.

Makes approximately 6 servings.
