Number of Servings: 12


    1 cup dried TVP
    1 cup water + 3/4 cup of water (Divided)
    1 tsp liquid smoke
    2 tbls soy sauce
    1 package Taco Seasoning (Nutritional Info uses Taco Bell Taco Seasoning)


Place TVP in a large microwaveable container. Mix in 1 cup Water, liquid Smoke and soy sauce. Microwave for 5 minutes. (Instead of using the microwave, you can mix liquid smoke and soy sauce to 1 cup of boiling water and pour over the TVP, then let it sit for 10 minutes)

Warm 2 tablespoons of olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add TVP mixture. Then add Taco Seasoning packet and 3/4 cup of water. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring often. Serve in tortillas or use to create a taco salad.

Serving Size for nutritional information is about 2 tbsp.
