Ingredients

    3 ripe pears (I use red)
    1/2 c water
    1 T honey
    1/2 t cinnamon
    1 T corn starch

Directions

core chop pears (1 cm sq), place in small sauce pan with 1/2 c water, 1 T honey and 1/2 t cinnamon. Simmer 5 min or more until soft & fragrant. Pour some of the liquid into a custard cup, mix corn starch into that liquid and add mixture back into the pan, stir and bring briefly to a boil (sauce should thicken) serve warm with angel food cake or pudding. Makes 5 1/2 c servings.
